THE ṢIDĪQIYA SHĀDHILIYA ORDER
In 2011 I was licensed by my Shaykh as a deputy (muqaddim) for the Ṣiddiqiya Shādhiliya Order, and in 2018 I was appointed the official representative (nā’ib al-ṭarīq) of the Order in the United States.
Throughout my personal study and practice of Islam, taṣṣawuf has been and continues to be an essential component of my journey. It is an honor, perhaps the greatest, to serve those who take the Path either in the US or abroad. Since taṣṣawuf’s focus is on the remembrance and invocation of God, we begin the journey of the spiritual path with these daily readings. Part of my role as a deputy is to help guide murīds through their personal invocation as well as provide general instruction based on the principles of the Sufi Path. I do this through periodic gatherings (physical and online) as well as through the official English language YouTube channel of the Order which I manage and update regularly. Collectively, these components make up the Zāwiya of our Order under my direction and under the watchful eye of our beloved Shaykh, Dr. Ali Gomaa.
