Sufi Invocations of the Sidiqiyya-Shadhiliyya Order

Human development in the world of Islam is the development of what Islam defines as the human-self (nafs). To understand this, however, it is necessary to know what exactly is the self (nafs) in relation to the body and the soul, the three main components of our existence according to Islamic teachings. Islam sees humans (both men and women) as being a combination of the physical body (jasad), soul (rūḥ), and self (nafs). This book provides an overview of these distinctions as well as daily invocations to be recited under supervision to help increase and improve the level of the self.
